Santa Parade

We had a wonderful time at the Santa Parade in Warkworth today. There were so many floats. Most of the schools in the area were represented. Our quickly thrown-together float consisted of Sunny’s Dunny (AKA the carnival ticket booth), with a couple of carnival signs and a lot of holiday garland. We had 15 kids marching with us, all dressed up like it was Mardi Gras. The look certainly set us apart in the crowd! William, Raley, Chelsea, Nicole, Tague, Reed, Perry, James, Leah, Hannah, Ariana, Marakae, Ashley, Chantelle, and even Leigh school graduate Mitchell Middleton joined us for the fun. Well done, kids, you looked awesome! Ritchie Watson, Gillian Irons and Jenine Abarbanel all dressed up to march alongside the kids. Special EXTRA thanks to our float driver James Ross for all his hard work with the float. And thanks to Selena who did a great job with the face painting before the parade.

It sure looked like everyone had a great time. Parades are fun! I’m already thinking about next year...

Charities Commission registration

Thanks to James Ross for completing our official Rules (with help from Rochelle Hume) and preparing our registration with the Charities Commission. This is all complete now, so we’re almost legal and official and all. Next is to register as an Incorporated Society, and then we’ll be all set and settled.

You can find our rules here on the website under “Miscellaneous Documents.” or contact us for a paper copy.
